Twee volgende boeken om te lezen

Er zijn nog twee boeken die ik nog wil lezen en ik ze hier voorstellen. Ik denk dat ik er in de vakantie eens werk ga van maken. Het zijn Engelse boeken orgineel en ik denk dat ik ze zelfs in het Engels ga lezen, want ze zeggen toch dat het origineel meestal beter is.

De titel van het eerste boek is: Looking for alaska en is geschreven door John Green.

 Ik heb al inmens veel over dit boek gehoord dat het een aanrader is.
Eenmaal je in het boek aan het lezen bent slorpt het je als het ware op.

Engelse achterflaptekst:  Miles, tired of his friendless, dull life in Florida, convinces his parents to send him away to boarding school in Alabama so that he can seek "the Great Perhaps." There he meets his roommate and soon-to-be best friend, Chip, called the Colonel, and Alaska Young, the moody, gorgeous, wild girl who instantly becomes the object of his lust. Miles is quickly enlisted in their war against the Weekday Warriors, the rich kids who go home every weekend, and they bond over elaborate pranks, studying, and assorted rule-breaking. About halfway through the book a tragedy occurs, and those left spend the rest of the book trying to make sense of it, to solve the mystery it leaves behind, and to pull off one last, greatest-ever prank. 

Het tweede boek heet: The perks of being a wallflower van Stephen Chbosky.

Ook hierover heb ik goede reacties gehoord en dit boek is ook verfilmt. De film heb ik al gezien, en raad ik zeker aan en doordat de film zo goed was, is mijn motivatie om het boek te lezen des te groter.

Engelse achterflaptekst: After his friend commits suicide, smart misfit Charlie is trying to learn to "participate" in life. He befriends a group of interesting older kids who introduce him to partying, but also respect his sensitivity. In letters that Charlie writes to an anonymous stranger, he talks about his family, his friends, and his complicated, often overwhelming, feelings about growing up. Eventually, his longtime crush tells him that he "can't just sit there and put everybody's life ahead of yours and think that counts as love" and he slowly learns to be present in his life.
